This is, in my opinion, the best and most reasonably priced edition there is.

Scott's Last Expedition, in two volumes, being the journals of Captain R. F. Scott, R.N., C.V.0., arranged by Leonard Huxley, with a preface by Sir Clements R. Markham, K.C.B., F.R.S. London: Smith, Elder & Co., 1914.

One of the most stirring and moving tales of exploration ever written, and one that warrants constant re-reading.

The Works of Sir Thomas Browne, edited by Charles Sayle, in three volumes. Edinburgh: John Grant, 1927.

Contains the Religio Medici, Pseudodoxia Epidemica, Hydriotaphia and theGarden of Cyrus, and so on. This was the favorite book of the late Sir William Osier, and, this edition is a good one to own.

The Poems, Prose & Plays of AlexanderPushkin, edited with a biographical introduction by Avrahm Yarmolinsky. Random House, New York, 1936. $3.50.

This is the centenary of the greatest of Russian poets. The ordinary reader will enjoy most his prose tales, and especially The Queen of Spades, The Captain'sDaughter, and The Shot.

If you have read Margaret Mitchell's book turn again to Crane and ponder awhile.
