Forrester Macdonald has recently transferred to Sturbridge, Mass., as pastor of the newly organized Federated church. Mrs. Macdonald is a member of the faculty of Boston University and dean of Tuckerman School in Boston. Previous to this she held an important position in connection with the Tennessee Valley Authority. One of their sons is ready to enter Harvard at the age of fourteen, and the other was admitted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology at an equally early age.

John F. McDonald was reappointed by Mayor Mansfield of Boston for a three-year term to the Boston Transit Board about two months ago, at a salary of nearly five figures. Because of his being a member of this board he was also appointed a member of the Metropolitan Planning Board, which has to do with all construction of highways etc. within Greater Boston, which includes territory as far north as Newburyport, west to Framingham, and all the adjoining cities and towns south of Boston. This is quite an assignment, but "Mac" is still able to carry on his professional work.

Mathewson, who is a member of the Vermont Senate, has had a busy winter, as he was on six important committees. The governor has recently appointed him chairman of the Vermont Public Library Commission. He is especially interested in a public library bill which provides for five central libraries from which books will be distributed to rural schools and people in rural communities.

Fred Woods and Mrs. Woods called on the Secretary last week. Fred is putting the finishing touches on his new house, and will move into it this summer.

Secretary, 34 Gray St., Arlington, Mass.
