Hope you all had a swell summer. Another swell Dartmouth year is coming up. We may not have four championship teams this year, but we have got a great football schedule and a team that ought to be able to handle it. Keep reading this MAGAZINE and you will have the whole story.

The summer rest has given your scribe new vim and vigor. With your help we can make this into a bigger and better column. First subscribe to the MAGAZINE, and then write us a letter.

On June 23, at long last one of our better bachelors saw the light. Wilmington papers announced the marriage of Ken Ballantyne to Miss Catherine Mehl Turk of that city. Your scribe ushered at the ceremonies and did a very creditable job, we thought. Al Lagacy and Josh Davis were also seen in greater Wilmington that day. Pressure of something like the Bermuda race prevented Charlie Bartlett from being in attendance. At that point he was first mate of the good ship Cherry Blossom, somewhere between Newport and Bermuda. Ken and his most attractive bride spent six weeks in Europe and are now back in New York.

On June 1, the New York law firm, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt, and Mosle, announced that Mr. Dudley Bonsai had become a member of the firm. Dud and wife have been spending a much earned vacation on the Cape this summer.

Woody Burgert, from whom we had a swell letter not long ago, is still with Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago. In that same town Wilbur Munnecke is also going great guns with Marshall Field & Cos.

Also from the "Windy City" writes Harvey Jones to say that he couldn't get back to Hanover in June '37, on account of the imminent arrival of a youngster, now coming along swell and weighing 271/2 pounds at 11 months. A future guard in the season of '57.

Coggie Broer, who lives a sedate and, we believe, a dignified life in the hinterlands of that fine old city, Toledo, nearly perpetrated civil war, riot, and arson in the usually quiet city of Chicago. Coggie probably doesn't know it, so we think we ought to report. It seems that sometime last June Coggie sent some movie films he had taken at that glorious Tenth, through the mails. While they were passing through Chicago some hijackers of the McGough-Morand gang got hold of them and had a showing for men and boys over sixteen only. Present at the showing were "Slim" McGough, "Honeyboy" Turpin, "Legs" Provost, "One-eye" Si Morand, "Two-gun" Orth, "Pretty Boy" Flomp Thompson, and "Slats" Williams. Some kind member of this gentle gang sent us a copy of the minutes of the meeting. "Two-gun" Orth apparently struck the keynote when he said, "Well, Doane, a few of us have had a very pleasant evening with 150 feet of film and four or five million words of reminiscence over the never-to-be-forgotten little excursion a year ago." The minutes of the meeting close with a rather ominous note, which we as a bachelor cannot understand. We quote: "This meeting is also attended by the 'bosses' of Williams, Turpin, Provost, Orth, Morand (semi-official), and McGough. They seem to agree that what we have seen is really the 'Photo-to-finishReunions.' That's what they think. They refuse to add to these notes on the basis that Mr. Farley might not like it." Dear Coggie, please be careful where you send your films, but if you could send a copy of them to us it would be swell.

A recent issue of one of the better papers of Worcester, Mass., carried the picture of Bob Mix over an article announcing that Bob has been appointed general agent of the state of Connecticut for the State Mutual Life Assurance Company of Worcester. Bob has been doing a fine job in the agency department of that company, and his recent promotion is well deserved.

We understand that Bill Elliott had another successful season of his day camp this summer. Bill offers a broad program, as the camp in' addition to being in sight of the salt water has the use of all the facilities of St. George's School, where he master minds in the classroom and on the athletic field.

Harry Benson of Walpole and Lewis Mfg. Cos. is still amazing his more sedentary classmates in the vicinity by playing a bang-up game at goal for Bird and Son, in the top flight soccer league in New England. Wonder how many other members of Capt. Gerry Allis' '27 team would feel like putting on their hobnail boots and go shincrunching after a hard day in the office.

We hear from our class agent that the class put on a whirlwind finish in the recent Fund campaign, and that a report is now being prepared for you.

The football machine at Hanover is being oiled for a new season. From what we gather from the grapevine there should be plenty to tell to you addicts. How about grabbing yourself a ringside seat and sending in your MAGAZINE subscription today. The annual free ride ends with this issue-so-o-o why don't you hang on to the ropes with the rest of us.
