1938 Enrollment

THE UNDERGRADUATE enrollment of the College for 1938-39 totaled 2,330 on September 23, with a few late arrivals expected because of the hurricane. This total is 19 less than the figure on the opening day of College last fall.

This year's freshman class numbers 673, or ten less than last year. The remainder of the total is made up of 510 seniors, 522 juniors, and 625 sophomores. With the addition of unclassified, graduate, and associated school students, the total Dartmouth enrollment on September 23 was 2,409. This is 33 smaller than the grand total last year.
