Coach Harry Hillman has another Dartmouth fall athletic team preparing for its defense of the 1937 "Ivy League" title. The cross country harriers lost only Stu Whitman from the group that performed so capably a year ago. Heading the veterans returning are Captain Upton and Chief Wonson, who was also on the championship baseball team as the leading pitcher last spring. The outstanding newcomer appears to be Lee Trudeau, one of the best milers to enter college in five years.
Coach Tommy Dent's soccer prospects have been severely hit by probation and the popular Scot must reassemble practically a whole new eleven for this fall.
Jeff Tesreau has already started to prepare for next spring with his annual fall workouts, and true to the present era of year-around work for most of the teams in and out of their regular season, lacrosse, golf, tennis, crew, skiing, hockey and basketball will soon be seen at least in conditioning work around the campus.
