AFTER A QUIET SUMMER the Dartmouth Club of Georgia started its fall activities with an Alumni luncheon honoring the three members of the class of 1942 who go to Hanover from Georgia. These representatives from the Deep South are Walter B. Elcock Jr., son of Walter B. Elcock '12; Edward H. Ruffner and Wilmer C. Dutton Jr.
The Club regrets the loss of Allan Gottschaldt '18 from its ranks. Allan and his family have moved bag and baggage to Boston after twenty years of residence in Atlanta. For all these twenty years Allan has been a guiding spirit and a pioneer in Dartmouth affairs of the South. His second term as Alumni Councilor from the Southeastern District terminates with his departure from this section. Officers of the Club for the coming year were elected at the first regular monthly meeting in Sept., Alva S. Wilson '25 Pres. and David L. Dorward '12 as Sec.-Treas. Regular monthly meetings are to be held the first Friday of each month and a cordial welcome is extended to all travellers who are in or near Atlanta at that time, get in touch with the Sec. at 581 Page Ave. N.E.
The Club welcomes the return of Henry Kingdon '32 to Atlanta and also a newcomer Col. Frank W. Halliday '01 of the United States Army.
