Hope you did too.

Its nice to know someone reads this department. Apparently the bit about Dr. Dave Viscott on the June Column prompted John Greppin to write Dave a letter, which John asked me to forward. He was kind enough to report that he finally finished his Ph.D. in Indo-European Studies with a specialty in classical Armenian, adding that his first book entitled Initial Vowel andAspiration in Classical Armenian will be published shortly in Vienna. He supposes the publisher will print only 500 copies to keep losses low - where's the old optimism, John. No other personal information was supplied except that he lives in New Orleans.

And a plea of my own - please take a moment to drop me a line - I am in great need" of information for this column as the usual summer influx of news did not materialize.
