McDavitt '00 Retires

Clarence G. McDavitt '00 of Newtonville, Mass., retired as vice president of the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company on January 1, after being associated with that company since 1912. He had been in charge of personnel work for the Telephone Company since 1926, and had held the post of vice president since 1931.

Mr. McDavitt has been active in alumni affairs for many years and at the present time is serving as president of the Dartmouth College Athletic Council and as a member of the Alumni Council. He was formerly president of the Alumni Council, president of the General Alumni Association, and chairman of the Alumni Fund Committee. He also formerly was vice president of the Boston Chamber of Commerce.
