Inasmuch as this issue of the MAGAZINE will reach every member of the class, the '2O column should be full of news. This would impress on the non-subscribers the fallacy of not being on the mailing list. However, my business activities have been such for the last couple of months that I haven't had the time or been in the posi- tion to gather much class information. This is being written in the Hotel Statler, Buffalo, N. Y., on Lincoln's Birthday, and incidentally, mine. In the lobby the other night I ran into Selwyn Mack on his way to a Chamber of Commerce dinner. He is a lawyer and is located here. In the near future we hope to have lunch with Frank Johnson, the Ryerson Steeler.

The ever dependable A 1 Frey crashed through with a letter recently which contained the following items:

"Robert Yuill is teaching in the business school at Montana State University. He finished the residence work for aPh.D. degree a few years ago at the University of Pennsylvania.

"Al Foley is back in Hanover followinga semester of study in Cambridge.

"Sherm Adams attends all the concertsin Hanover, no matter what the temperature or the depth of the snow. This is anannual habit."

Treasurer Elliott forwarded a newspaper clipping which related the information that Battery L of the 241 st Coast Artillery (Boston) had received the coveted Knox Trophy given by the Sons of the Revolution. This would be of no special interest to the class if it weren't for the fact that Charlie Sargent is the commanding officer. Charlie must be doing a fine job, because his battery also won high honors at Fort Wright (N. Y.) last summer.

Roc also stated that A 1 Pierce is majoring in parent-teacher relationship in connection with his duties as superintendent of schools, Reading, Mass.

Abe Winslow, acknowledged the foremost alumni association secretary in these United States, mailed me a copy of the January, 1938, directory of the Dartmouth Association of Northern California. Five of our boys are listed, namely, Porte Durkee, V. P. of the Shell Oil Cos., Dick Kimball, Jim Minnis, attorney-atlaw, Tom Smith, salesman, Abe, sales supervisor of the Pacific Tel. and Tel., and in Hawaii, Pike Emory.

Johnny Allen, field auditor of the General Insurance Cos., has left Council Bluffs, lowa, and now lives in Portland, Oregon. Residence: Hotel Cornelius.

Snake Corbin, district manager of the Chicago Title and Trust Co.'s real estate department, now resides at 7546 North Oakley Ave., Chicago.

Apparently the streets in Joliet, 111., have been remembered, as the College now lists Stan Munroe's business address as 128 Scott St. instead of 222, and his residence as 522 rather than 622 Oneida St.

Laddie Myers still resides in Hinsdale, 111., but has moved to 23 South Bodin St. He is with W. A. Alexander & Cos., Chicago.

Waldo Potter has changed his Rochester, N. Y., address to 1128 Clover St.

Dick Kimball says that Bill Quinn is now located in Long Beach, Calif.—St. Regis Apartments. The last we heard of Bill was in 1928. At that time he was in Medford, Mass.

Maurice Randolph has always been listed in the class records as living in Pittsburgh. The post office now advises that he is at 207 W. 135 th St., New York.

Louis Schlobohm's father informed the College that Louis was no longer in Newport News, Va., but is now in Trenton, N. J-—l7 Calhoun St.

For those who didn't see last month's MAGAZINE: Pab Sample will join the College art faculty next fall. He will live in Hanover, and although he will not give classroom instruction, his studio in the Carpenter Art Building will be open to all students who wish to watch him paint or who wish to get advice about their own work and interests in painting and drawing.

Usual conclusion: How about a few news items. They don't have to be front page to be of interest.
