WE WERE HONORED at our meeting in February by a visit from our friend and representative on the Alumni Council, Warren Kendall '99, who told us about the organization and work of the Council and the functioning of the selective plan of admission. For the benefit of ten prospective Dartmouth students who were present, George Parkhurst '30 gave a vivid impromptu talk on the history and activities of the Outing Club.

Dartmouth Night, March third, was celebrated by a dinner to which the ladies also were invited. Although the attendance was disappointingly small, owing to the enforced absence of several "regulars," the little group spent a delightful evening in the quiet intimacy of a family party. Mary Hastings, the secretary's daughter, greatly enjoyed this, her first introduction to the Club. An unusual feature of the evening was an artistically staged exhibition by a clever magician.
