Under date of February 19 comes this letter from E. D. Burbank in Sierra Madre, Calif.: "I have been under the weather(colitis) and so was unable to answer yourletter of the 29th of January. I am alreadybetter, but it will probably be threemonths before I am fully recovered.O'Brien is in Pasadena. A card from himsays he will call next Tuesday on his wayto Claremont to attend a luncheon."

From the grapevine telegraph system the Secretary learns that O'Brien has been in California and was there in the midst of the recent floods in Southern California.

Mrs. Willis O. Smith under date of February 23 writes that her husband has been under the weather for several weeks, but "is now able to be up and dressed everyday, eats well, can enjoy the radio, and isimproving."
