"Duke" Barrows, retired, was laid up from November first to April first, but is now able to be up and around. Mrs. Barrows, our Mary, is president of the Zonta Club of Boston, a chapter of the international society of women corresponding to the Rotary Club of men. Mary, who first qualified for membership as a legislator, now is voted "parliamentarian." At the annual banquet of the convention, held this year in Boston, she was the toastmaster (?).
Hopkins, retired, now divides his time between Jacksonville, Fla., and St. Simons Island, Ga., according to his son Lawrence, who tells the Secretary he was named after our classmate, Lawrence Thompson. Lawrence, whose home is in Need ham, Mass., is in charge of the 600 interdepartmental telephones of the home office of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Cos.
