Partridge writes, March 14:—"DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE just at hand, and I read with sorrow your excellent article on the late Arthur Kent Dame. I remember him well, and how pleasant araffable he always was. He wrote me onlyon last July second and then stated he wasin fairly good health, although he had tobe careful. I am sending this letter on toyou at your summer home, although I takeit you are still down in 'fairyland,' I canhear the noise of those bats there now.Suppose the clubs will be wending theirway North soon. We are operating a sawmill at East Middlebury, Vt., about fivemiles from Middlebury, where I remember playing a game of ball against Middlebury College many years ago."
