an introduction by Ralph C. Jenkins '14 and Gertrude Chandler Warner. Published by the Connecticut State Teachers Association at Hartford. 25 cents.

Here is a little "big" book that merits the special attention of all teachers and others interested in public education. Condensed biography is generally far from interesting but here is the exception. The power of the style and content is best illustrated by the reaction of that veteran reviewer of books, Wm. Lyon Phelps. Prof. Phelps writes, "I became excited while reading this book; it is dramatic; I believe now that Henry Barnard was one of the most useful and influential Americans in our history and in the world history of Education."
