93 Freshman Sons of Alumni Set New College Record

Ninety-three sons of Dartmouth alumni in this year's freshman class have set a new record for this annual tabulation by the Freshman Office. The total is one greater than the former record of 92 sons in the Class of 1941. Dean Strong's report on alumni progeny in the first-year class shows that the classes of fathers cover a span of 23 years from 1900 to 1922, with the majority of the sons concentrated in the group from 1907 to 1919. The Class of 1914 leads with ten sons; followed by 1910, 1912 and 1915 with nine each; 1913 with seven; 1907, 1917 and 1918 with six each; 1904 with five; and 1908, 1909, 1911, 1916 and 1919 with four each.
