THE ASSOCIATION HAS enjoyed a successful summer with a fine turnout for all luncheons. We were fortunate in having a number of visitors who added a great deal of interest to our meetings. Among the welcome faces were, L. D. Hawkridge '11, Nat Burleigh 'll of Tuck School and Paul Sample '2O who gave us all the news from Hanover; George Byrnes 'll of New York, with all the dope on the World's Fair; and Red Newell '24 who came to us fresh from Shanghai with a very interesting talk. We also saw Professor Joshi, who is now lecturing at the University of California. It has been a great pleasure to welcome back to our group, E. W. Hiestand 'lO, who has returned to Los Angeles after several years' absence.

This fall, the association has started a new activity which we hope will be very successful and of particular interest to visitors. We have noted for some time the number of Dartmouth men in motion pictures and radio located in Hollywood and unable to attend our regular meetings. Therefore on Sept. 13th we held our initial Hollywood luncheon which is to be repeated every Wednesday noon at Brittingham's Restaurant, Columbia Square, Hollywood. This will provide men in Southern California a choice of two luncheons every Wednesday, one in down- town Los Angeles and one in Hollywood.

The opening meeting was attended by some 25 men including: Wm. R. Kimball '07, Ed Martin 'O9, Murray Hawkins 'l9, Collie O'Gorman 'l9, Ferber Haight '2l, Leon Rothschild '24, Charlie Townsend '27, John Lyman '2B, Bob Collins '29, Frank McEntee '29, Walter Douglas '3l, Bill Palmer '3l, Charlie Ryder '3l, Harry Townsend '3l, Mark Richard '32, Bob Ryan '32, Keat Coffey '33, Bob Loewi '33, Bill Richards '33, Wendell Williams 34, Rudy Pacht '35, Bob Morris '36.
