Are you looking for something to do on the 21st or 28th of every other month? Do you want to take notes on your friends' conversations and then print them in a magazine? Are you yearning to be the conduit that connects long-lost pals, loves and frenemies? Well, have I got a job for you: Be the '94 class secretary? It's yours for the bargain price of $250 (a.k.a., reunion weekend in Hanover on June 1719)! Here's my issue: I have been class secretary for 19 years now—since ninth grade, to be exact. And while I might have enough diplomatic dexterity and connections by now (political capital, if you will) to try and weasel Condi out of a job, I don't think it's my calling. Therefore, I will be resigning my post at reunion. Won't you come to my retirement party and help hire my replacement? I'll give you the skinny on salary and benefits when we arrive in Hanover. In the meantime, on to this month's news: Jennie (Bracken) Jaffe writes that she is living in Chicago with husband Matthew Jaffe (Michigan '94) and their daughter, Amanda Sloane Jaffe, born in October 2004. "I am on leave from teaching English at New Trier High School so I can be home with Amanda this year," writes Jennie. "We love Chicago, but are on the East Coast often visiting family and friends." Look forward to seeing you at reunion, Jennie! Charis (Connell) and Noah Taylor write to announce the birth of their second son, Justin Michael Taylor, who was born in February. "He weighed in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 22 inches long. He joins his big brother, Brendan, who will turn 3 in May," writes Charis. The Taylors live in Ridgefield, Connecticut, with their kids and dog. They hope to bring the whole family to reunion this summer. I recently received a very sweet birth announcement from Amie Rappoport) McKenna, who is still living in N.Y.C. She and husband Stephen welcomed Emilie Louise Rappoport McKenna to the world in March, and look forward to introducing their new addition to old friends at the reunion—congrats! Speaking of New Yorkers, Hally Bayer was recently appointed VP of promotion for Scholastic Book Clubs in New York. Before this Hally was most recently the VP of planning and development at Nickelodeon/MTV Networks and holds an M.B.A. from NYU's Stern School of Business. Okay, kids, when I'm scraping the Dartmouth press releases for news, that means my mail folder is empty. Write to me, and remember, all this could be yours in just a few short months. Look forward to seeing many of you in June!
