Cornell's powerhouse eleven was entirely too much for Dartmouth to cope with on November 18, and the Ithacans crushed the Big Green, 35 to 6, before a record-breaking crowdof 16,000 in Hanover.
Dartmouth put up a spirited fight from beginning to end, and tried many defensive variations to stop the Cornell attack, but it was to no avail as the victors scored easily in every period. Dartmouth's fourthperiod score climaxed a 67-yard advance that was aided by a pass-interference ruling on the 7-yard line. John Kelley tallied on an end-around play after three unsuccessful line plunges.
Bill Hutchinson was outstanding in the Green backfield and Lou Young in the line. McCullough, Lansberg, Scholl, Kelley, Matuzsczak, Drahos, Finneran, and Hershey all starred for Cornell.
