The date of Gerould's retirement was October 2, 1938. He is now professor emeritus. His three daughters are: Mary (Mrs. Anderson); Elizabeth (Mrs. Chadwick); and Virginia (formerly Mrs. Chase). Gerould has three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Baehr ("Bruin") sank out of sight in the nineties apparently "without a trace." I have succeeded lately in picking up his tracks and hope to solve the mystery of his disappearance in the near future.
