Five years ago the Secretary called for an attendance of 50 men at the 40th reunion. Exactly 50 men came. After discussion it has been decided to make the quota the same for the 45th. Three men have died during the quinquennium, but it is believed that at least three men have grown so much younger during this period that forty yoke of oxen will not keep them away from the reunion next June.
Classmates and other friends were favored by a unique Christmas greeting from John Henry Bartlett. It was "A 1938 Christmas Poem to John and Faith," with a drawing of Santa Claus at a wheel of an automobile on the front page. On the back page was the following note: "This poem was read on Christmas morning, 1938, before a family Christmas gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Page Bartlett, Weston, Mass., parents of John H. Bartlett 2d (10) and Faith Bartlett (7). It is dedicated to the memory of the late Calvin Page, great-grandfather of Faith and John and father of Mrs. John H. Bartlett."

The Secretary was in Manchester, N. H., several Sundays ago. He tried to get into contact with Robert P. Burroughs. Robert was away, but has written a word about his mother, who expects to leave shortly for a visit to Sherman Everett Jr., who is now stationed on the U.S.S. Arizona, based at San Pedro, Calif. He is in charge of four airplanes on the Arizona, and flies one of them himself, going off in a catapult. He is a lieutenant, senior grade, in the U. S. Navy. Robert writes, "I was brought up on stories of the class of '94." Robert himself is following in the political footsteps of his father, now being the New Hampshire member of the Republican National Committee, and otherwise influential in the party councils.
