Arthur and Ann Stone came home in time to celebrate his 85th birthday on January 22. Says Arthur as he starts his 86th year:

"We probably will not be going away again this winter. I have so much work ahead of me that I must finish as soon as possible, that there is no chance of getting through with it before April when spring will or should be with us."

In his January notes our good friend Roland Stevens '95 (who also is a First Citizen of White River Junction and vicinity) referred to having seen Robert Frost during the latter's first and only year at Dartmouth. This columnist also remembers very well seeing him from time to time. According to memory he roomed in Wentworth Hall. The writer of this column has suggested to the college authorities that a plaque be put up inside Wentworth Hall indicating that the now famous poet roomed there and the suggestion is herewith repeated. If any reader of these notes at any time gets within possible distance of hearing Robert Frost read one or more of his pooms let him not fail to improve his opportunity. It is the event of a lifetime.

Perhaps not all members of the '94 family recall that Catherine Jones' husband, Sumner Babcock, is President of the Boston Bar Association. As such he was one of the committee of seven which was able to bring to an end the rebellion of four convicts at the Charlestown State Prison recently. A telephone conversation with him revealed a feeling on his part and doubtless on the part of his colleagues that they had been able to -engage in a genuine piece of applied Christianity.

Next a note from Mrs. Bud Lyon:

"My deepest appreciation to the men of '94 who sent the beautiful flowers to us when Stanley passed away. Another manifestation of the friendly spirit of the '94 Family."

A telegram from Elizabeth Jenks brought word of her mother's death January 25. Bertha Jenks was right alongside Paul in her enthusiastic devotion to our Class. Our sympathy goes to Elizabeth who has been able to be of so much comfort to her mother since Paul left.

We have one birthday celebration in April, that of Dwight Hall on April 13.
