With the thought in mind that many of you might wish to drop a line to some of the old friends and that a birthday greet- ing would be very appropriate as a means of renewing friendships, we herewith give you the names of all men in the class with birthdays in April and half of May. If you will save all your ALUMNI MAGAZINES (and who doesn't) you will have a record by next March of the birthdays of the entire class.

We are sorry that we can't give you the addresses too, but if you don't have them, send your letter care of the Secretary or the Alumni Records Office in Hanover and it will be re-addressed.
The Dartmouth of March first brought the headline "Jacko Stock Vested in Group of Six," and the following:—"Theodor Seuss Geisel '25, New York, author and illustrator, has been named alumni member of the board of proprietors which will hold the stock of Jack-O-Lantern, it was announced yesterday by Executive Secretary to the President Albert Dickerson." And so Ted adds another important job to his already imposing list. Congratulations from the class The Buffalo Evening News of February 28 carried a picture of Frank Hershey over the following: "Frank S. Hershey, 47 Windsor Ave., vice president of the Marine Trust Company, Monday night was chosen president of the Buffalo Convention and Tourist Bureau, Inc. He succeeds Clarence A. Miner, who was president for 13 years." If the picture is recent, the years have certainly been fair to Frank, for he looked just as he did in college From Lane Goss— "Within the last few days I have seen Gordon Churchill, who has recently returned from Canada. He has been active in reorganizing a number of mining properties and is at present working on one in the Middle West. At the University Club here the other day I ran into Phil O'Connell, who is as dapper and cordial as usual. I am glad to know that he is now back in Worcester. We have missed him a lot during the time he was connected with the FHA in Boston. Brad Kingman is very happy in his new job as head of the Bancroft School. Bunny Manning, one of the leading physicians at Dover, N. H., has been planning to leave on a vacation so many times that we can't remember the number, but has been detained because of the seriousness of some case or other."
Several years ago George Amidon gave up his jewelry business in Barnet, Vt., and moved to Montpelier, where he has a position in the office of the State Auditor. He has been married some five or six years Syd Batchelder said good-bye to the city some ten years ago and moved bag and baggage to his farm at Alstead, N. H., where he has been busy following the life of a farmer ever since. Syd's farm is about six miles outside of Bellows Falls, and he extends a hearty invitation to classmates to drop in and see him whenever they are traveling up or down the Connecticut Valley Congratulations to Tubby Washburn, who on March 1 became a partner in the firm of Lamson Bros. & Cos. The firm of Lamson Bros, was founded in 1874, and it is the oldest of Chicago's security and commodity brokerage houses. They have offices in New York, Omaha, Kansas City, etc. It is a matter of interest that Tubby is the thirteenth partner to be admitted to this firm and that the four- teenth partner, admitted at the same time, was a Dartmouth man of the class of 1926, Frederick P. Barnes of Kansas City.
Sully Sullivan, lucky devil, was in Hanover for Carnival, picked up the following from the in-coming class records, and sends the news on from Des Moines, Iowa! That is the spirit that helps. Bill Boies is vice president and cashier of the Naugatuck (Conn.) National Bank and has one daughter Susan, five years old. Dutch Clark, with his Master's degree from Boston University (1932), is instructor of science at the Rogers High School in Newport, R. 1., and has a daughter, Shirley, who will be five in October. Hal Rider has three children and is active in many community affairs in Stamford, where he is trust officer at the Stamford Trust Company. Scotty Scott received his M.A. at Boston University in 1933 and is studying for a Ph.D. at the Yale University Graduate School of Education. He is preceptor of the Morgan High School and superintendent of schools for the town of Clinton. In addition he is at present engaged in writing a book. Mac Shepard received his M.D. in '29 from Columbia. He is a general practitioner in Putnam, Conn., is a member of the medical staff and director of laboratories at the Day Kimball Hospital and president of the Windham County Medical Association He has a yearold daughter, Elizabeth Bob Weinig gets going in the Chicago area—"The other day I saw Russ Russell, who is one of the executives with the Evanston real estate firm of Baird & Warner. Russ and his wife had just returned from a pleasant trip to Havana and Miami." Among the '2sers present at the annual Boston alumni dinner at the Hotel Somerset were Mark Emerson, Ralph Shineman, Chet Eaton, Bill Carter, Russ Fox, Nate Bug- bee, Len Mosher, Jake Penney, Bill Sleigh, George Newman, Lang Spring, Ralph Thompson, Fergy Ferguson, Don Hunt, Larry Bankart, Charlie Hayward, Ken Simonds, and Ken Hill
