Secretary, 87 Milk St., Boston
At the annual dinner of the Washington Alumni Association, held on Dartmouth Night, March 9, Henry Blair was the guest of honor. Among other tributes, George Morris '11 read to him a sonnet composed for the occasion, the last three lines of which are:
"For you're the sort of man all men have sought.
'Twas you our school produced: such a man
Does show the world what Dartmouth does and can."
Mr. Morris has written, "Blair is such a magnificent and eminently satisfactory Dartmouth man that his classmates may be interested in knowing what we think of him here." We certainly are interested, Mr. Morris, and we thank you for this graceful and well-deserved characterization of one whom we have known longer than you have and whom we have held in high esteem for well over a half a century.
SKIING ACCIDENTS
Several of the class have shown usual and unusual activity recently. Warden wrote March 18 that he was leaving Montana that day for Washington, on one of his frequent trips Reynolds expected to spend Easter with his brother in the old family home in Claremont and to visit Hanover Dr. and Mrs. Noyes spent a few days in Manchester, another few days in Boston, late in March. ... Flagg wrote from Hanover in March. His visit was enjoyable in spite of the striking number of blesses in evidence. He noted those suffering from sprained or broken ankles, those with arms in slings, others with barked noses, some with patched eyes, and many with sundry contusions.
. . . .Ferguson returned to New York April 6, after a fortnight in Bermuda.
Flynn's address is Gaylordsville, R. D., Conn. He has written that his wife died last July and their only son died in January 1936.
