"Doc" Kingsford Honored

DR. HOWARD N. KINGSFORD '98m, medical director of the College, was honored by the Dartmouth Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni Association at a dinner at the Dartmouth Club of New York on April 6. Sixty alumni of the chapter, representing a spread of thirty classes, were present at the dinner despite an all-day storm.

Basil O'Connor '12 of New York acted as toastmaster, and songs were provided by a quartet-quintet of Herbert A. Howe '27, Arthur Kneerim '28, William L. O'Brion '30, Joseph A. Parachini '35, and Edgar R. Hyde Jr. '36.

Dr. Kingsford has been Medical Director at Dartmouth since 1919, and since 1901 has been Professor of Pathology and Bacteriology in the Medical School. He received his M.D. degree from Dartmouth in 1898, and was awarded the Master's degree by the College in 1907.
