ON MARCH 11th the Northwest Alumni Asso. of Dartmouth College held its annual banquet, celebrating the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Association, in St. Paul, Minn., at the Town and Country Club.

Guest speaker at the gathering which was attended by fully one hundred was Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23 whose reception here was a real cause for celebration and whose after-dinner speech was one of the finest we have heard in a long time. Prior to the dinner at the club, the Dean began his schedule of festivities with a breakfast at the Minneapolis Club at nine o'clock Saturday morning, with a group of newspaper reporters interrupting the get-together with a variety of questions regarding our movement here in the state. A luncheon was held at the same club, again in the Dean's honor, for the opportunity of meeting a group of prominent educators in both public and private schools. Later, from two to four in the afternoon, the fathers of entering freshmen joined him in an enjoyable visit.

Present at the banquet that evening were three of our Alumni Assoc. officers from Fargo, N. I)., and a fine delegation from Duluth, and Rochester, Minnesota. Retiring president Jack Norton gave an excellent talk and in surrendering his post to newly elected president Edward Lynch he was accorded tremendous applause for his devoted service during the past year. The Association this year created a new post—that of Historian and Mr. Arthur Dunning of Minneapolis was appointed to this position and our early records which are becoming more valuable as time goes, on were turned over to him.

The present officers of the Association now are as follows:

Edward Lynch '23, president, Ryland Rothschild '21, vice pres., C. E. Whitney '15, sec'y, Wood Foster '33, treas., John B. Faegre '33, Jr. chairman of Freshman admissions, William B. Cash '37, ass't treas., Wallace C. Fisher '37, publicity chairman, Robt. Stone '35, Oliver Newell '34, Clarke Bassett '21, Edward Judd '32, asst. sec'ys.

The executive committee consists of Mr. Paul Loudon '14, Luther Oakes '99, H. E. Atwood '13 and Stuart Seidl '30.
