25 Friends of Bobby White, who died May 17, and of her late husband, Llewellen, will soon place a bench in Chandler Hovey Park, „ I, Marblehead, in memory of the couple whom they loved. Efforts to install die White Memorial Bench are being led by Bobby's three children, Patten, Terry, and Carol. The park is the perfect site for the memorial since it is the home of the Marblehead lighthouse, where Llewellen and Bobby used to take the family picnicking. The bench is made of a beautiful piece of Maine granite, weighing 500 pounds.

Betty Crawford writes that between 1922 and 1992 there have been 19 members of the extended family attending Dartmouth. Must be a record!

Radford Tanzer is the youngest man in our class. That must explain his energy. Write him at once at 8 North Balch Street if you haven't made reservations for the mini-reunion October 17.

Robert Millet's daughter J eanne writes that Bob's wife, Leonore, died June 21 after a period of failing health. Betty Sleigh went to Alumnae College at Smith after commencement, then to the Canadian Rockies for six days with granddaughter Anne, who attends the University of Washington. Fran Zahm came to the Inn in early August for a change from Florida. Great Surprise! We are glad.

Memory of the month: we used to say, "Larry's always good for two yards" as fullback, and he often made more. Larry Leavitt had that wonderful peripheral vision which was also good for driving, especially in Boston.
