PRESIDENT HOPKINS returned to Hanover on the week-end of April 22, after a stay of a little more than four months in the South. His homecoming took place one week in advance of the annual spring meeting of the Board of Trustees, to preparing for which President Hopkins devoted his first week in the office.
On the way north from Palm Beach, Florida, President and Mrs. Hopkins stopped off in Petersburg, Virginia, to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. William J. Miller, with whom they passed the Christmas holidays on the way south. On April 15 President Hopkins was the principal speaker at a meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Virginia, held at the home of Dr. Douglas VanderHoof '01 in Richmond. Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger '23 also attended the Richmond alumni meeting, being in Virginia at the time to attend the 21st annual meeting of the National Association of Deans and Advisers of Men at Roanoke on April 13-14.
