That was a swell job on the Alumni Fund, and while for some people it's too bad that '37 couldn't have beaten us out it was a foregone conclusion that the possibility didn't exist. As for marriages, I doubt if any class will ever beat us out. I didn't even know there were that man; eligible women. Before going into that though, it looks as if this column has made

a grave social error by not mentioning the existence of Patrick Henry Gorman ID born November 8, 1939. He's more hand some than his father, but not as lovely as his mother, and if some of you birds we"

a little more handy with information, would have told you about this beta"' And now for love. Whitey Mays and Harriet Coleman Millett on June 22, with McDuft Reno, Dunlap, Slattery, Soule, and Duckworth among the ushers. Beautiful though every wedding is, some halfbaked unatic always seems to appear, and the Sheriff takes the honor for this one. The doctor was very charming with his dark goggles* though almost outdone by Larry Hull flashing a personal note from Alf Landon. You will remember the latter as a former aspirant for Commander-inChief of the Army. Henry McDuff and Charlotte Byrd Lewis, Vassar, on July 12, with Soule and the Sheriff helping to usher. I drove to the wedding with Mattimore, Muff Davis, and Mallory, and mark it as another highlight of my life. Muff's experiences as a salesman are worth publishing. Foley was there in his crimson chariot, and Hosmer was at Whitey's with his crimson pate. Ed Kirch and Patricia Wallace of South Orange on June 1. Bob Ross and Mary Carpenter Bishop, Smith, on August 3. Sox Calder and Rebecca Jane Holmes of Akron and Wells on August 17. Mark that as a party not to be forgotten. Yours truly, Monsenthal, Keresey and Van Kirk among the ushers, and the ushers among the bridesmaids. Same day for Virginia Brehmer, Forest Hills and Syracuse, and George Zeluff. Ed White and Bernice McClellan on June 22, with Mather, Wiggin and Emerson ushering. Ed told everybody he was being married in the Methodist church but it turned out to be Congregational. Don Badger and Geraldine Jennings of Randolph, Vt. on June 1, with Dutch Holland best man, and Reeve and Muff Davis present. Marty King and Jane Beatrice Miller, Radcliffe, on July 1, now at home in Salem, Illinois. Dick Sherwin and Eunice Bagot on September 7 in Buffalo. Squee Ellis and Helen Mansfield Rockett of Wellesley Hills and Sweet Briar on August 3, with Tom Roberts best man and Al Hawkes helping to usher. Fred Mayne and Katherine Stark Newell of Bradford Junior College on June 23.

As to engagements, Phil Leach and Virginia Newberry of Ridgewood and Connecticut College, and a very lovely lady. Phil Merritt and Mary Skeats of Orange and Bryn Mawr. Dick Schubart and Susan Elizabeth Houser, Mount Holyoke. Jordan Cohen and Jeanne Isaacs of New York and Smith. Bill McFarland and Barbara Schnering of Evanston and Connecticut College. Rum-Dum Reeve is all set to fake the step this fall, waiting for Darkace Johnson to get back from Africa to put it over. Sandy Mills and Jenot Warner should make it in October, and art Soule and Bobby Hutton are due for their ceremony October 12. At this point Throttlebottom enters, and everyone singing Love is Sweeping the Country," we turn the scene to more prosaic things.

ours truly is preparing to take up residence in Indianapolis, Paul Feakins is in antiago, Chile, with Grace; Art Koeppel is with the Marine Midland Bank in N. Speaking of Chicago, those boys have a tough time. I spent an evening there. A delicious meal fixed by Lindy Davis, and then to a tour of the Buttery, Adolph's, and the 606 Club with Borneman, Nims, Van Kirk, Walls, and the Davises. They all knocked off work the next day to play golf, and last I heard they all eventually got back to work.

Steel Export Cos. in N. Y., George Buck is an actuarial clerk in N. Y., and last heard from, Fred Wagner was with the E. R. Wagner Manufacturing Cos. in Milwaukee.
