So that you may get a rough idea of what happened to that mob that entered Hanover in the fall of 1934, all of whom did not stay until the end in 1938, 407 are in business, 83 have gotten graduate degrees, mostly in business administra- tion, and 5 have died. We have 119 wives, one widow, 24 children, and one of us has had 2 wives. There are 2 of us in the hotel business, 6 restaurateurs, 3 in social work, and 20 who are either teachers or coaches or both. We have 4 farmers, one nurse, 3 actors and 2 writers. I know we're all farmers and actors and writers, but this means full-time. 18 are connected with newspapers and magazines either on the literary or business end, one is a laboratory technician, and 2 are research assistants. We have 3 credit investigators, one explorer, 2 commercial artists, one cameraman, an instructor in aeronautical engineering, 8 engineers, one lyric writer, one miner, and one musician. Then we have one vocalist, one Red Cross worker, one librarian, 2 marines, and 3 soldiers, two in the U. S. Army and one in the German. We have one livestock farmer, one graduate manager and one assistant graduate manager, one dentist, one florist, one doing work for the N. Y. A., one surveyor, and one manager of a tutoring bureau. As for those still in graduate schools, there are 3 in Business, 52 in Law, 40 in Medicine, 3 in Economics, 3 in Sociology, 3 in Education, 6 in English, 3 in Theology, one in Naval Architecture, one in Botany, one in Electrical Engineering, one in Police Administration, 2 'in Music, one in Science, 3 in Architecture, one in Drama, one in Biology, 2 in Chemistry, one in Comparative Literature, one in Diplomatic School, one in Geology, 2 in Physics, and one in Art. There are 507 in the United Organization to defeat '37 in every project and 63 strike-out kings, as well as an indeterminate number engaged in philandering. I haven't broken down the business occupations, but the greatest number are in insurance, with banks and light manufacturing running close seconds onds, though most of those in the latter are salesmen. No reports of any one being in the early draft have come through yet.

The drift to the altar is still strong, though. Johnny Llewellyn's engagement to Alice Blair of Chicago was announced. Did you know there used to be a Johnny Llewellyn Fan Club at Vassar? The only one I ever heard of was the Fan Clark Fletcher Club of Skidmore. Also engagement of Elizabeth Harriman, Westmoreland, N. H. to Charles Sweeny. Bob Deery was married September 28 to Lois Marie Hirschey of Carthage, N. Y. and Smith. September 21 was the day for Norma Virginia Tozer of Ipswich and Bob Griffin. John Lutz was one of the ushers. Luke Mims was here the other day travelling for Millers Falls Company, but I missed him. Guess the great lover didn't strike out this time since he's engaged to Elizabeth Clarke of Kingston, N. Y. Jim Carpenter and Walt Averill were ushers October 5th at the wedding of Phil Merritt and Mary Skeats of Orange, N. J. and Bryn Mawr. October 17 for Tom Duffey and Dorothy Louise Wrenn of Garden City, N. Y. and Vassar. Ushers were Don Boyle, Don Wilson, Robb Kelley and Larry Hull.

Jack Hull is doing the sales promotion for National Bronze and Aluminum Products in New York. Robb Kelley is in the underwriting department of Employers Mutual Casualty Company in Wichita, Kansas. Chuck Livermore is Assistant Secretary of the Detroit Council of Social Agencies. Morg Marshall is a salesman for Edmands Coffee Company in Boston. Adrian Weiss is with the N. Y. A. in Washington, and Bill Blaney is a salesman for McCormick Sales Company in New York. Bill Chamberlin has been ordered up for duty with the Marines at San Diego, and John Coleman is at the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge. Jack Griffith is publisher of the Athletic Journal in Chicago. What kind of athletics, Jack? Bill Main is with Gulf Oil in Cambridge. Bill Powers is with Hercules Powder in Parlin, New Jersey. Floyd Williams is with the educational department of T. W. A. in Kansas City. Jack Smillie is a transportation engineer in Scranton, and Sereno Sheldon is with Retailers Commercial Agency in New York.

I'm going to try and review the class alphabetically with the space that remains each month. If there is any information lacking on any of these, let me know so that we can bring the class records up to date.
