Cedric W. Foster '24, who went on the air in a coast-to-coast Mutual broadcast of The News FromEurope from Station WTHT (Hartford, Conn.) in October, knows the background whereof he speaks, having visited practically every pre-war country in Europe, with the island of Tahiti thrown in. And when, for one reason or another, he couldn't get to Europe, he apparently took a turn around his own continent just to keep in trim. Some years ago his score was twenty-four trips to California. It has probably been bettered since then.

Foster trained for the job of station manager of WTHT, which he took over in 1935, in the newspaper business. The New Britain Herald, the Hartford Courant, the Providence Journal, and the Berkeley (Calif.) Times were some of his papers. He was affiliated with the Associated Press in San Francisco for a year and was Connecticut manager of the United Press Associations for several years. For five years he was financial editor of the HartfordTimes, owners of station WTHT.

Foster can be heard over Mutual affiliated stations Mondays through Fridays at 3 p.m.
