ON THE OCCASION of the visit of Dean Bob Strong to Dallas on December 9, the Dartmouth Alumni of Texas seemed to come to life after hibernating for quite a long period.

Dean Strong arrived in Dallas on the morning of the 9th, having traveled from Los Angeles. He seemed to be fully aware of the terrific amount of geography in Texas. He had ample opportunity to survey the preparatory high school situation in Dallas. Also he was taken to the S. M. U.-Rice football game.

There are about 107 alumni in Texas. That evening 35 of them gathered at the Adolphus Hotel for an informal dinner. Some alumni came from a distance of 300 miles.

Following the message of Dean Strong everybody entered into a full discussion of the College and its problems. Many in attendance had sons whom they hope to send to Dartmouth and the message that Dean Strong gave them was both helpful and appreciated.

The following men attended the dinner: Edgar A. DeWitt '82, John W. Rogers '83, Henry M. Lull '97, Joseph L. Kingsbury '05, G. Roscoe Ricker '05, J. Burton Rix '06, W. A. Green Jr. '14, Roscoe P.
