THE ANNUAL MEETING of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the Great Divide was held November 25 at the University Club. It was a meeting of outstanding proportions because it brought Bob Strong to Denver for the first time and also brought forth the announcement of a $90,000 bequest from the late Frank Gove '88.

Most of the alumni in Denver were meeting Bob for the first time and immediately took him into their hearts. His informal, friendly manner and honest statements of admission problems made him a fast friend of all those present. We regretted that his visit was so short. In the words of President Tucker, we didn't have sufficient time to look at "the morning with the eyes of the night before" with him.

Since our Association has been so fortunate in acquiring a scholarship fund, it appears proper that some history of the fund be given at this time. The Colorado Dartmouth Association, Inc. was formed in May, 1937, to give financial aid to deserving undergraduates from Colorado, attending Dartmouth. The first funds were obtained by annual subscriptions from members. All grants were made with the approval of the College. With the passing of Frank Gove last year, the Association was made residuary legatee under his will. Final distribution of Mr. Gove's estate was recently made and the bequest to The Colorado Dartmouth Association, Inc. amounted to $90,000. All of this fund has been sent to the College to be invested in its general endowment fund. Additions will be made to the fund from time to time by the alumni. All income from the fund will be used to aid deserving undergraduates from Colorado.

The Colorado Dartmouth Association, Inc. has, as its Board of Directors, the following: Thomas P. Campbell '18, President, W. W. Grant '03, Dr. T. D. Cunningham '13, David J. Main '06, W. F. Nicholson '22, Charles E. Hilliker '18.

The meeting closed with an election of officers. The following were elected for the ensuing year: Mason Lewis, Harry Litzenberger, and the undersigned.
