The following is from a letter written by Mrs. Anderson located just now at Santa Ana, California.
"Having to live by a gas heater which makes the air deadly, and with twelve days of rain, and earthquake (which I felt decidedly) I have been homesick for the first time in my life. I have written Peabody and he has been very painstaking to find me living quarters in Pasadena; but now I have decided to try Mission Inn, Riverside, for the month of February."
G. R. Clark writes from Davenport, lowa, of a long recovery from serious injuries caused by a fall. He feels keenly the loss of Thayer. Though living beyond the Mississippi he had had a more intimate acquaintance with Thayer during the past six years than any other member of the '76 group.
