P. Tobias Hagberg, whose thick auburn locks rivalled the brightness of the mid- summer sun at noonday when he crossed the campus, is still more striking in appearance than he was in our undergraduate days. Paul, as he is known to his friends, has gained weight and prosperity with the years. He recently moved to 8122 Drexel Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, where he has more than even chances of commuting between his plant and his home without being hit by stray bullets from the pop-guns of playful public enemies.

Ben Mathes' sunshiny countenance has dispelled the fog of Oakland, California, long enough to find himself an attractive home at 3027 Revere Avenue, Oakland, California. Ben has associated himself with E. B. Fields Company, an outstanding industrial commercial real estate organization as sales director. His short stay in the Golden State has made him as enthusiastic over its climate, scenery and people as if he were a native son. He, therefore, has decided to locate there permanently. Dorothy Mathes, his talented young daughter, graduated from Duke University last June and now has an excellent position with the McGraw-Hill Publishing Company in New York City.

The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Montreal has followed the example of all other worthwhile Dartmouth Associations in electing a member of our class as its president. Dan Hatch was accorded this honor at the last annual meeting of that small but enthusiastic group. Judging from Dan's accomplishments in the business world, he will do much to make the Montreal Association stronger and better.

Eric Kelly with his usual modesty says nothing about his many great achievements. Harold Rugg, however, has just advised that Eric's "Christmas Nightingale" was successfully produced during the Christmas season in many places, among them New Orleans, Louisiana, and Greenwich, Connecticut—the theatre producers' guinea pig. Eric has also recently written several books which will be published in the spring, among them being Doom Rock, On the Staked Plain, and the Life of Helena Modjeska. His story of Aztec life— The Face of Montezuma—is scheduled to appear shortly.

Your class agent is serving notice on you to begin to save your pennies as well as dollars for the Alumni Fund. Now that we are leading "The Abundant Life" there should be plenty of money available for this most worthy purpose. During the last two years the class has achieved a glorious record by reaching its quota. It has taken many years and a tremendous amount of cooperation on the part of too few of our classmates to bring our standing up to where it rightfully belongs. Let us at least keep it there.
