The Dartmouth experience affects each person uniquely because each has a distinctive personality. I hope in our column to bring a series of stories that may eventually be viewed by readers of this magazine as a patch work quilt to warm the heart. We share in our incredible newsletter (the Drwm, edited by Ike Weed) the goings-on of the class and its families. In the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine we will share with the wider world of the alumni body classmate experiences that illustrate the spirit of our school. I have called several classmates and widows and find a willingness to cooperate in this project. Each class columnist struggles with the problem of using the limited space available to the best purpose. This will be my approach: to present anecdotes, recollections and vignettes from our class that may be interesting to members of all classes.

Donna Faunce ably serves the class as its secretary, preparing minutes of meetings, sending out birthday cards, submitting obituaries to the Alumni Magazine, corresponding with widows of classmates and performing related duties. She would appreciate receipt of material relating to obituary notices and may be reached at 11 Overlook Drive, Canton, CT 06019-2022; (860) 693-8901.

Thanks to Carol Davenport, who sent a clipping of an obit for John P. "Dink" Wiener, who passed away on October 28,2005. We also lost Howard W. Tallmadage on August 30 and Harry T. McMahon Jr. on August 12. We send our condolences to their families.
