DARTMOUTH IN QUEBEC held their first annual Pow-Wow in Montreal on April 25. The party was a huge success and we would like to mention briefly the highlights that contributed to the enjoyment of the occasion.

Our presiding officer, Dan Hatch '06, was the guiding spirit of this event. We can still hear the echoes resounding from Mont-Royal from the wah-hoo-wahs to Dan in appreciation of all that was done to make this a memorable evening.

We were also fortunate in having William H. McCarter '19, Director of Athletics, from Hanover who gave an interesting and inspiring talk on the Dartmouth of today. The discussion following Mr. McCarter's speech was ample evidence of the interest of our club in this message.

Two delegations from South of the Border joined up with us to make our gathering truly international. The stage coach from Newport, Vermont, arrived with Carrol Davis '95, "Zeke" Smith 'O6, and Hubert Pierce '11. Malone, New York, was represented by a quartet consisting of Dr. Stamatiades '16, Bill King '12, Dan Duffin '25, and Nelson McClary '34.

The Alumni from the Province of Quebec rallied to the occasion as expected. Ed Wardle '99, just home from a winter in St. Petersburg, came down from GrandMere. "Cut" Tirrell '00 performed miracles in his leadership on Dartmouth songs. Bill Terry '13, just moved to Montreal from New York, was given a rousing welcome to our clan. Evan Woodward '22 provided programs and menus—we are still talking about that delectable dish called "Pompanoosuc Pheasant." Walter Zeller, father of two Dartmouth undergraduates, joined us to learn that "Dartmouth Spirit" was not an ambiguous term his sons had picked up on the campus.

The following medicos deserted hospitals and studies to be with us: J. B. Feltner '31, S. C. Reed '32, E. C. Campbell '32, K. B. Jacques '33, H. B. Eisberg '36, Fritz Martin '38, Austin Grant '38, Kelvin Fay '39, Donald Bauer '39.
