The heads of dormitory committees for Delta Alpha included Hal Smith for South Mass., Jack Means for Middle Mass., Herrick Brown for Hitchcock, Hoy Schulting for Crosby, Bob Mayo for Wheeler, Palm Palmer for Fayer., Jimmy Jones for South Fayer., Hilt Campbell for Sanborn, Howe Slayton for Reed, and Joe Folger for Richardson The Dartmouth bore the headline: "Federal Grand Jury Finds True Bill against Ponzi.". .. .Stan Gorham was president of the Republican Club, John Sullivan of the Democratic. Said The Dartmouth, "Sullivan has al- ready entered state politics in New Hamp- shire and is engaged as a speaker in the present campaign." Although The Dartmouth came out for Cox and Roosevelt, an undergraduate straw vote gave the following results: 976 votes for Harding and Coolidge; 313 for Cox and Roosevelt; 15 for Debs; 4 for Watkins, candidate of the Prohibition party; 7 for Christensen, Farmer-Labor; and 1 for McArthur, Single Tax candidate M. Maurice Casenave, on behalf of his government, presented a French 75mm. gun to the College.
