OCTOBER 1966 HARRY W. SAVAGE M' 27

As we start another academic year, the air is full of plans for expansion with a separate new psychiatric unit plus two additional floors at MHMH to be constructed in the immediate future. The new class, representing fifteen colleges, appears on paper at least to offer high promise of outstanding achievement. Under the direction of the new dean, Carleton B. Chapman, M.D., who is expected in October, the forward progress at DMS, already well beyond the initial stages through the efforts of Marsh Tenney M' 44, will be accelerated. The future looks bright!

In the last few weeks we have contacted all graduates who attended classes in Old Medical on the hill regarding a memorial. By way of an interim report, this will inform you that the response has been most gratifying and assures its being. Suitable dedicatory exercises are being planned for inclusion in the program of the next Nathan Smith Medical Society meeting.
