The Seventy-Six surviving group of thirteen, ten graduates and three who did not graduate (at Dartmouth), reach the Christmas season of 1940 in usual health, so far as the Secretary has information, with the exception of one member, Hill. During the autumn Hill contracted a severe cold while making the trip from his home in Hartford, Conn., to Winter Park, Florida. At present he may be considered satisfactorily convalescent Earlier in December Hardison was thrown down by a revolving door with such violence as to cause a week and more of severe distress and helplessness. An examination revealed no fracturing of bones. A full recovery has resulted.

A Christmas greeting from the Elys was made distinctive by the inclusion of two passages from Deuteuronomy and several selections from Ely's writings Mrs. Thompson, Worthen's daughter, by adding a note gave a special interest to a greeting from her father and herself Mrs. Anderson sent a Christmas message from DeLand, Florida Mrs. Bettridge, Fennell's daughter, sent a card with best wishes from a hospital in Bennington, Vt.

Secretary, 411 High St., West Medford, Mass.
