We received this cheerful note from BruceJohnson: "After having three girls, ages ten, nine, and six, a son arrived at our house on November 12, 1972. His name is Jeffrey Bruce.
"This summer we traveled to California and back through Canada, camping all the way. My sister Carolyn is now a freshman at Dartmouth. And I used to be worried that she might be invited to Hanover for a weekend!!"
Dick Lemke writes: "For the past two years, I have been lecturing in computer science, and my wife Martha has been lecturing in psychology at the Beadigo Institute of Technology. This is a small college (but there are those who love it) in provincial Australia. We and our son David are now going to seek our fortune back in the U. S."
From Ed Holscher we received the following message: "I completed a child psychiatry residency in July, 1972 at Childrens' Hospital in Boston, Mass. I am now in a group practice in Washington, C. C. My wife Carolyn, a daughter (Elisabeth, age 1), and 1 live in Chevy Chase, Maryland."
We hope that your New Year resolutions included sending something to the Alumni Fund and writing about yourself and your family for the class column. Ron Wybranowski, 1961 Head Agent, needs all of us to reach not only our dollar goals, but, more importantly, to show that 1961 is strong on class participation. Now that the Dow Jones Average has pierced the magic 1000 barrier, everyone should be affluent enough to send at least one dollar to the Alumni Fund. We are particularly eager for classmates who have never given before to join the rest of us in the pleasure of regularly giving something, no matter how small the amount, to our College.
As for writing to the class column, we were just reminded how short life can be when we had to write an obituary for Ed Hall, so we couldn't help thinking that all those classmates who never share their experiences with the rest of us may be putting off that sharing until it is too late.
