FOLLOWING THE WORLD premiere of Music of the Masters in November, Dartmouth College Films had the honor to present the first public showing of Maxwell Anderson's Journey to Jerusalem on January 15. Directed by Elmer Rice and played by the original Broadway cast, Journey to Jerusalem is the first production of Theatre-on-Film, Inc., which has been organized to reproduce on film prominent stage plays with their original casts. The 16 mm. sound movie was presented in Dartmouth Hall as an activity of the New England Educational Film Association, headed by R. Haven Falconer '39, and proved especially valuable to the students enrolled in drama courses.

Dartmouth College Films at present is also sponsoring its second annual educational film series, which opened on January is with a showing of the French movie, The Baker's Wife. American, English, Chinese, Mexican, and Russian films will also be shown in the series of eleven Sundayafternoon programs extending through April 27. Other films included in the series are The Informer, Birth of a Nation, I Meta Murderer (English), Sable Cicada (Chinese), Que Viva Mexico (Mexican), Rasputin (Russian) Am I Guilty?, The Fightfor Life, The Awful Truth, and four silent American films.

The Sunday afternoon film series was inaugurated last year as part of the educational film program directed for the College by Mr. Falconer. Films included in the series largely follow the preferences of students and members of the community.
