MRS. MARY C. HOPKINS, mother of President Hopkins, died at her home in Perkinsville, Vt., on January so, after a brief illness in her 87 th year. Funeral services were held the following day, with burial in the family cemetery in Perkinsville.

Mrs. Hopkins had resided in Perkinsville since 1906, the year in which her husband, the Rev. Adoniram J. Hopkins, accepted a pastorate there. Mr. Hopkins served as pastor for 16 years before his death in 1924. Surviving Mrs. Hopkins are two sons, President Hopkins and Robert C. Hopkins '14 of Darien, Conn. A third son, Louis B. Hopkins '08, who was president of Wabash College, died last summer.
