One of the best class meetings '26 has had in New York for many a moon was enjoyed by seventeen of our class on Friday, March 7th, at the Dartmouth Club. What we lacked in numbers was more than made up for by the enthusiasm, interest and good fellowship displayed by those present. Reunion was, naturally, the main topic of conversation. We can report that, certainly, as far as this bunch is concerned June 20-22 is number one on this year's calendar of events. Those who braved the big blizzard to enjoy Pierre's cooking, Charlie's mixing and an old fashioned bull-session were: Art Wilcox, Hap Johnston, Geo. Scott, Max Whitman, Dick Mandel, B.ob Riotte, Tony Gleason, Ed Poole, Ken Godfrey, Chuck Webster, Carle Blunt (Chicago delegate-at-large), Brant Wallace, Ed Fowler, Bill Farnsworth, Les Talbot, Okey O'Conner, and yours truly.

You all, of course, received the reunion committee's first mailing piece about a month ago. Certainly after reading about the splendid plans in store for you, the return postal cards went to Dick Nichols in the affirmative.

A nominating committee with Hal Marshall as chairman and Don Norstrand, Walt Rankin, Bob Cleary, Bill Hughes and Don Hoffman as members has been appointed to select a slate of officers for the next five years. Hal has asked us to announce the desire of his committee to receive suggestions from the class. As you know, the offices in question are: Secretary-Chairman, Treasurer and nine members of the executive committee. Please forward any thoughts you may have to Hal at 140 Billings St., Sharon, Mass. Incidentally, Hal and Marion have just returned from a month's trip to the West Coast and we are anxiously awaiting a report from him on all of the '26-ers they saw en route.

A 1 Louer announces the completion of his Alumni Fund Committee with the following additional appointments:

Clyde Hall—Washington, D. C. and Southeast.

Nate Parker—Pennsylvania. Johnny Heavenrich—Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota.

Gob Des Marais—Pacific Coast. Ralph Thomas sent us a page from the January issue of Banking. It is a full-page ad for the National Cash Register Cos., one third of which is devoted to a picture of Clarence McDavitt seated at his desk in a very handsome pose. A five paragraph testimonial completes the story.

Ed Fowler was the author of a critique of surgical treatments for deafness which recently appeared in the Canadian Medical Assn. Journal.

Holt McAloney sent us regrets for his inability to attend the N. Y. Class dinner. It seems he was leaving for Florida. However, he said to count him in on all plans for Reunion.

Bill Farnsworth recently bought a sixty acre farm in Killingsworth, Conn. Bill says it will be a weekend retreat, but come the revolution a full time hide-out.

Bob Edgar has blossomed forth in the field of journalism as owner and publisher of the Grosse Point Michigan News, a weekly rag that Bill Farnsworth says is one of the best he has ever seen. Apparently '26 has a William Allen White in the making.

We regret very much the news of A 1 Manning's death which occurred in Kansas City, Mo., on February tenth. See necrology section.
