Even the skiers are glad to see Spring come. The world seems to take a deep breath and begin all over again. The mud in Hanover takes on a new light. Soon the rationalizing sun-bathers will appear. And then what? We planned to keep it quiet, but May is only a month off and THIRTY SEVEN'S CHUBBER DAY is almost here. Read and weep girls: A picnic beginning in New England and ending in California from May 19th to May 25th. Swell Alumni Banquet in Chicago recently. Dr. Tobin 'l7, and Tuss Mc-Laughry delighted the local boys. I heard a pin drop while the former was telling of "the students' present attitude," and Tuss was all that we've wanted our coach to be —a gentleman and a fighter. There's going to be discipline in the squad but "we're going to remember that after all it's a game." The '37 boys celebrated Park Johnston's birthday—he said he was 36, and wished Carl Stern the best of luck for he was off to army soon afterwards. Know you enjoyed Frankie Young's art last month as much as I did. Our Guest Writers have included a minister, a sports writer, a poet, a doctor, a banker, a lover, and 2 lawyers—P.S. the lover was Bankart. Which reminds me of a letter from Johnny Elliot to Mort Berkowitz (before you read it see special announcement of Meeting this June in Hanover): "Margaret and I spent two days and a night in Hanover last summer. It was in the middle of Aug. and most beautiful. It was a good feeling to get back and see some of the old spots. We wandered around the campus, past Middle Fayer, the gym, the Sphinx, into the Library and up to the 3rd floor (those chairs look as comfortable as ever) and then down past the Beta House. We even took in the ski jump " You know, come June, and we'll be FOUR YEARS OUT!

Bob Butler seen taking the trails at Rib Mt., Wis. in great style—held up the Class' rep. when others there were pulling it down—and I don't mean Herb Butz, the master of vorlage.
