As WAS FORECAST with complete accuracy in this column last month, the annual dinner and election of officers of the Dartmouth Club of Wellesley took place on February 26th at the Wellesley Country Club. More than sixty Dartmouth men turned out. After a delicious meal, enlivened by the strains of Dartmouth songs, Pres. Alec Jardine 'l6 called for the report of the nominating committee made up of A 1 Gottschaldt 'lB, Jim Gregg 'l4, and Ed Emerson 'lB. This slate of officers was chosen for the coming year:
President, Don Wilbur '24; Secretary, Dick Muzzy '35; Treasurer, Fran Tower '2B; Executive Cotnmittee Members, Art Chapin 'O6, Alec Jardine 'l6; ScholarshipFund. Chairman, Curt Plummer 'O7.
Prof. Herb West '22 brought us the latest news from Hanover. We all enjoyed meeting this popular professor from our Dartmouth Department of Comparative Literature and listening to his very interesting comments on student life, administrative policies and other allied subjects.
Ted Arico '42 reviewed the 1940 football season as only a player could and gave us the "low-down" during the showing of the Cornell game movies.
The officers of the club are working on plans for the annual picnic. This is the principal event in the spring and its date, when announced, is a red letter day for all Dartmouth people in and near Wellesley.
