FRATERNITY SCHOLASTIC AVERAGES FOR 1940-41, recently released by Registrar Robert O. Conant '13, gave Pi Lambda Phi top rank for the second year with a combined average of 2.754. Although this is .056 below their last year's winning average, it still gave them a .2 lead over their nearest competitor. Gamma Delta Chi again took second honors with 2.567, and Sigma Nu moved up from fifteenth place to take third with 2.542.

The general College average last year was 2.289, Mr. Conant revealed, which is a .061 drop from the year before. The three upper classes achieved 2.374, while the freshman class average was 2.082. Nonfraternity men registered their customary standing above fraternity men, 2.497 to 2.316.
