A recent article in the WashingtonPost brings to public attention the fine work being done on the War Production Board by C. Edward Rhetts '3l. The 32-year-old Indiana lawyer is executive assistant to William Batt, vice-chairman of the WPB, and, in this capacity, he has won recognition for delivering the goods to Russia.

His job consists of getting a wide variety of goods off the production line and to the embarkation points as fast as possible. A firm believer in American aid to Russia, Ed Rhetts is devoting all of his energy and resourcefulness to this difficult and important task.

After graduating from Dartmouth and Harvard Law School, he went to Washington in 1934, where he served as lawyer for the Labor Department and the PWA. He carried on a private practice in Chicago for a few years, but returned to Washington in 1941 to take up his present position.
