November 1942 COREY FORD

Secretary and, Treasurer, Freedom, N. H.

What with flying around the country in ever-widening circles, at the whim of the Army Air Forces, the reunions of the Class of' - have necessarily been few and far between; but on a recent Saturday the entire membership of our Class happened to pass through Hanover, en route to Washington, on the very same afternoon that Miami U.'s football team was in town, and a class reunion was held on the spot. We arrived very impressively, with a one-man motorcycle escort consisting of P. Merrow, '2s's noted Ossipee correspondent.

The campus was as lovely as ever, the bland October sun shone on the stadium, the hills in the distance were folded like Persian carpets, the inevitable procession of Hanover dogs trotted across the field during the game; but there was something different, something you couldn't quite put your finger on. Maybe it was the bank of Navy uniforms that lay like an ominous blue shadow across the stands. As the game wore lazily on and the score mounted up toward the sixties, the spectators took to folding their programs into little paper airplanes and skimming them out toward the field; and presently the air was filled with miniature fighter-planes and bomb- ers that hid the game and the sunshine and the peaceful Hanover hills

At least, our reunion maintained its usual record of 100% attendance. Everyone was there Saw "Stinko" Ford at the game, he claims that reports of his being arrested for forgery are false, it was purse-snatching He tells us that "Cueball" Ford has a son at Harvard Medical School. In a bottle, ye scribe avers Rumor hath it that "Happy" Ford is taking the cure again. Hashish this time

"Bozo" Ford at the Hanover Inn with a Powers model, wait till your wife reads this item, ha ha, there, "Bozo." .... Running over a police blotter recently, whom should ye scribe discover but good old "Karloff" Ford, booked on a rape charge Had a letter from "Screwy" Ford, mailed from State Asylum, informing us that he is Louis XIV. Nice going, "Screwy." Three more of our classmates made the news last mo. when it was revealed that among those sticking up the Guarantee Trust Cos. in Wichita were "Butch" Ford, "Lousy" Ford, and "Corey the Heel."

Keep it up, fellows Ye secy, regrets to report that it will be necessary for everybody to mail new checks for their dues, as our Treas. "Ratsy" Ford has just skipped town with the class funds See you all at our next reunion.
