Chaplain

Dr. Donald B. Aldrich '17, rector of the Protestant Church of the Ascension in New York City, has received a Commission as naval chaplain. A veteran of the last war, Dr. Aldrich has, for some time, been outspoken in his denunciation of the Nazi regime and what it stands for. He received his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Episcopal Theo- logical School in Cambridge in 1921, and in 1927 he received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Dartmouth. Always an outstanding member of the alumni, Dr. Aldrich was vice president of the General Association of Dart- mouth Alumni during 1931-32, and was very successful as the guest speaker of the 1942 "Dartmouth Night."
