The Post Get-together Club, organized, I understand, by Emerson Rice '87, originally including the graduates of the eighties and now enlarged to include graduates of the nineties, had its annual meeting after the Dartmouth-Harvard football game in the evening following the game at 'the Boston City Club and enjoyed a banquet and social hour with reminiscent accounts of undergraduate days and reports of individual activities since graduation.

The number present, the smallest in recent years, owing no doubt to gasoline restrictions and other war conditions, included the following: James W. Newton '86, Frank B. Sanborn '87, Eleazar Cate '88, Alfred E. Watson '83, John F. McDonald 'go, John Abbott '91, Walter D. Cobb '91, Frank E. Rowe '91, Willard G. Aborn '93, and H. Philip Patey '98.

The occasion was saddened by the knowledge that Dr. David N. Blakely, who rounded up the members for the annual meeting last year, was buried that day, the result of a shock sustained by the doctor last spring.

Roscoe A. Hutchinson, who for a long time was engaged in scholastic service, retired as a teacher about three years ago, and since has been enjoying a quiet life in retirement. He has written me that he is still active and takes much pleasure in gardening. Last year he claims that he had one of the best, and this year his Victory garden could hardly be excelled. I am led to believe that the latch-string is out for any Dartmouth man at his home in Avon, Mass.

In the recent general election I was again elected as the town representative from Hartford in the Vermont General Assembly for the two-year term, 1943-1945, having defeated the Democratic candidate and Roland E. Stevens '95, who bolted my nomination in the primary election and filed nomination papers, under the general law, as an Independent Citizens candidate.

News of the death of Herbert T. Kincaid has been received from the Alumni Office. An obituary will appear in the next issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, if suitable data therefor can be obtained from his family.
